PHILLIN

FAQ

What's a ringer?

A fill-in player who claims an open spot in someone else's game. Phillin pings you when a nearby team is short.

How do I join a game?

Open a game from the Home feed and tap an open spot, then confirm. You're locked in. The organiser is notified.

What happens if I can't make it?

Withdraw from the game as early as you can. If a replacement is found you lose a little XP; if not, you lose more and your reliability drops.

What's XP and reliability?

XP rewards showing up (QR check-in) and good ratings from organisers. Reliability is roughly your confirmed attendances vs commitments. Both appear on your public profile.

How do I check in?

At the venue, open the app, tap SCAN, and scan the venue's Phillin QR poster. Check-in opens 60 minutes before kickoff. Scanning the poster at the venue is what confirms you showed up. Phillin does not track your location.

Can I bring a mate?

If you're locked into a game with spare open spots (and guests are enabled for your account), tap an open spot to add a guest. You're responsible for them. Their no-shows count against you.

Can I organise my own games?

Ask your club admin to make you an Organiser. Then use the + button on the Organiser screen to post a game.
